Confessions of a Shopaholic - Sophie Kinsella I listened to the unabridged audiobook version of this book narrated by Emily Gray who does a fine job of bringing dingbat Becky to vivid life. This is the first of the Shopaholic series and is a whole lot of fun. Becky Bloomwood is a spendthrift. As the book begins she's not in too terribly deep but as the story progresses so does her debt. Becky is a gal who is obsessed with owning beautiful things, even when she doesn't have the means to pay for them. As her debt increases she comes up with zany ways to outsmart the bank. Her antics are often laugh out loud funny. Poor Becky is really a hopeless case and her spending is sometimes nauseating (for a cheapskate like me) and although her romance doesn't come off as something totally believable this was fun to listen to as I commuted to and from work.
