I read this book as an unabridged audio. As the book began I realized it was a sequel to a book I vaguely remembered reading. So I did a handy author search to locate my journal entry and it turns out I never did read the prequel but instead read another by this author called Life Support . Still, something about it continued to feel familiar. I may have read too many serial killer novels at this point. Despite that nagging feeling of having read it before, it wasn't a bad read. It was nicely gory with a well drawn female protagonist that held my attention. It was too overly familiar to other books of the genre for comfort but at least it never dragged.
