Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers - Mary Roach This book is fascinating, morbidly funny and right up my alley. The author has a very dry wit and the narrator of the story reads off these quips with a skillful deadpan. But be warned author Roach details all sorts of cadaver research including some horrifying experiments including animals (innocent little puppies) as well as dead humans. I learned many things that I could have lived the rest of my life quite happily without discovering. The author has nerves of steel as she wheedles her way into weird situations and suffers from an obsessiveness about cadavers that verges on the creepy. Great stuff. This one will hold up to many re-reads.
